Located on the eastern half of Lake Vermilion, Hoodoo Point Campground offers a scenic and well-equipped base for enjoying one of Minnesota’s most beautiful and expansive lakes. With nearly 60 reservable campsites and 37 seasonal sites, there’s a range of options for both short stays and longer getaways. Campers can choose from sites with water and electric hookups or more rustic, primitive sites for a simpler experience. Amenities include a dump station, clean bathroom and shower facilities, picnic areas, a playground, and a sandy swimming beach. A paved walking and biking trail connects the campground to the nearby City of Tower, making it easy to explore the area.
Lake Vermilion is known for its world-class fishing, especially for walleye and muskie, along with northern pike, bass, and crappie. With its vast waters, island-studded shoreline, and natural beauty, it’s a perfect setting for fishing, boating, and relaxing outdoors. During your stay, take time to visit local attractions like historic downtown Tower, Soudan Underground Mine State Park, the International Wolf Center, the North American Bear Center, and nearby golf courses.
